Double Exposure

I contrasted the brightness and colorfulness of lego sets with a grey background. Legos are fun and meant for children, but I also wanted to show the mundane-ness of life. I used a city made out of legos to show what world the lego man is living in, with the grey being the boring repetition of life.
I wanted to relate 2 things that share the same environment. The sand provides a neutral background for the color of the waves in the seashell. I also wanted to put emphasis on that the fact that the wave is in the shell so I kept the ridges in.
This one did not turn out well, in my opinion, but I tried doing something a little bit different. I took a picture of my 2 dogs laying together on a blanket and turned the blanket into something. I used a picture of a forest because my dogs love being outside. My dog Remi, is black and white which provided a solid ground. My dog Perry, is beige, which is also a very plain color. I tried to make the forest fade into the blanket at the ends to make it look like one solid object. I dont think I did that well with it.
